Veterans Day Ceremony: Honoring Our Heroes
“It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. Don’t be like me. Don’t wait 40 years to go to your first Veteran’s Day ceremony. It was special. It was honoring. Seek one out.

Imagine what would happen if everyone who wasn’t required to be at work showed up and supported our veterans. The tradition. The encouragement. Seek out the opportunities.

After the colors and the Star Spangled Banner, the speaker spoke about our obligation to honor and remember. My oldest even turned to me and said she would be memorizing that for her speech for class. Seek knowledge.

Teach them the pledges. Sing the national anthem. Memorize the famous speeches. We owe it to them.

Thank you, Veterans! ❤️ As for the rest of us, I hope more of us show up next year to the local ceremony.
