Cherishing Moments with Little Ones

Watching this sweet baby in the nursery today, I admit I had baby fever briefly… Mostly I had a desire to go back and soak in my baby days more. Do it again. And rest more. . Moms of littles - Know that the rest of us aren’t wishing you’d hush that baby or wanting you to leave because you’re distracting class. You’re doing your job and we just remember those days. . It’s not looks of irritation we send you. It’s love. And patience. And understanding. And a desire to reach back into our kids’ lives and dig deeper. . Soak it up, Momma. Cuddle that little sleeper. Rub that back. Rock that baby because you can. . Give yourself permission to ignore the “shoulds” and comparisons and feelings of not doing enough. Give yourself time to be right where you are and where God places you today. Give yourself grace when you feel like you’re messing it up. Give God permission to work through your life into your little ones - it truly is enough. . And, give us the ability to help and hold your baby so you can get a break. It’s an honor. Not an inconvenience. . As for the rest of us, here’s to not wishing away a stage or an age because I have a feeling we might just wish we’d lingered in those too. ❤️ . . Thank you @cbailey725 for sharing your sweet girl with me and my sweet girl. . . Day 14. Give. @wilkinsonnest
