Family Nature Hike at Armand Bayou

Every first and third Sunday are free at #armandbayou so went found the “nature” that seems to be a location around my house. As in “Are we going to nature today?” An overcast day for some shelf mushroom identifying, snake viewing, bird listening, and footprint finding. And what did K declare her favorite part? The typewriter they got to use in the old farmhouse. ;). And then she declared she hadn’t seen any nature because nature means animals. Thank goodness we saw two deer on the way out of the park. No nature seen other than those two brief glimpses. PS: I need someone to teach Coop how to really use a compass. Fancy grown up kind with degrees etc. He has declared them one of his three favorite things in the world - next to pocket knives and backpacks. ;). And Freebirds for burritos I’m sure. He forgot that one.
