Christian Devotional Book Reflection
“O Thou who art my quietness, my deep repose,
My rest from strife of tongues, my holy hill,
Fair is Thy pavilion, where I hold me still.
Back let them fall from me, my clamorous foes,
Confusions multiplied;
From crowding things of sense I flee, and Thee I hide.
Until this tyranny be overpast,
Thy hand will hold me fast;
What though the tumult of the storm increase,
Grant to Thy servant strength, O Lord, and bless with peace.”

I so love that poem. Give me peace.

Using the wisdom of Christian writers over the centuries, this Bible study book merges Bible with prayers, poems, and quotes throughout history as you learn more about prayer and quiet time. I’ve loved meeting these older writings that will lead me to further reading. And get excited when I see friends - like Corrie Ten Boom ❤️

With my discipleship group at church, I’ve been walking through some Psalms with Catherine Martin’s Pilgrimage of the Heart workbook. In the past, we’ve been frustrated with fluffy or inaccurate study books but all seem to love this one. Although there is a video series you can watch, we’ve just been doing the book work.

Grab this book for yourself or your group. It’s a keeper! ❤️
