Reclaiming Wonders
A fenced enclosure stands in a wooded area, with bare trees surrounding it. Two young children, one wearing a white jacket and the other a red jacket, are leaning against the fence, peering intently inside. The enclosure appears to house birds or other wildlife, though none are visible from this angle. The scene exudes a sense of curiosity and wonder, as the children observe the natural world around them.

Children Observing Wildlife at the Zoo

Two bald eagles within three days makes for some happy kids who love all things big bird related! We especially love us some vultures after listening to several vulture education talks about how important they are during the last year. C dragged us over to the vulture talk at the zoo and said it was a really fun day. Fact of the day: Vultures hold an important role in the carrion eating world because they can actually get rid of the bacteria and viruses in carcasses that other animals cannot. Aka super duper strong stomach acid. And their numbers are greatly on the decline... thus the need for education.
