Letās 10x your pricing in 60 seconds š Hands down the best way to price your projects is based on the end result or what many people call value based pricing. Before I explain make sure to follow @nashhagen for more free creative business sauce. ā”ļøValue based pricing Hereās how it works. Day rates and hourly rates assume your only value, is the TIME you physically spend shooting the content or editing. Which by that logic means that if you spend 2x as long shooting you would get paid 2x as much which means it should be at least a 2x more effective video right? šµ Not even close! What value based pricing does is takes the value away from the time you spend making the project, and instead puts it on the anticipated end result. Why are companies wanting you to make content in the first place? Is it because your time is so valuable and they just want a piece of it? No. Itās because they want more awareness, leads, sales, status etc. So if thatās the end result theyāre after, then you can tailor your pricing to speak to that. Hereās an easy example. You make a web banner video for a site thatās currently converting at 1% They get 50k visitors/mo The average sale is $100 So they get 500 sales for a total of $50k in rev If you make a video that just helps increase the conversion rate by .5% (so now itās 1.5%) They still get 50k visitors They still sell for $100 But now they get 750 sales for $75k in rev. You just helped ad $25k/mo in rev which is $300k/yr with 1 video. So you tell me. Do you think that video is worth more than a $2000 day rate? I would venture to say itās worth at least $20k Be blessed and stay stoked šš¤
This is how to actually get paid. If you want to work for free you can find a thousand other videos about that (wouldnāt recommend lol), but if you actually want to make a living hereās what you need to knowā¦ Hotels are businesses, businesses exist to make money, therefore your primary motive should be to make them money so letās optimize for that. 1. Develop your skills to create content on par or better than what the hotel currently has. 2. Identify low hanging fruit. Thereās tons of hotels that look great in person but their online presence doesnāt reflect that. This is your target! 3. Create an offer that solves the whole problem. Youāll be hard pressed to find a hotel willing to shell out thousands for a content library but fixing a real business problem with your contentā¦ thatās when you get into the big dollars. Increase perceived value, decrease time effort and sacrifice to get to the value. 3. Find the decision maker emails using linked in and snov.ok 4. Use direct value DM/email structure (remember weāre not optimizing for selling pics. Weāre optimizing for bringing sales). Reduce friction increase intrigue. 5. Share how your offer is an absolute need for the hotel (not a nice to have) 6. Get them on a call and run through the logistics of your offer through the lens of a problem solving solution 7. Overdeliver on results. Collect a case study. Repeat. 8. Become a 1 of 1 service provider. While everyone else is fighting for free collabs, youāre killing it for your clients, getting retainers, referrals, and creating a business on your terms. This is applicable to any industry sector obviously (I just like resorts) If you want to learn how to implement a system like this in your business DM me CREATE and Iāll show you how! Youāre gonna wanna save this one! š² Follow @nashhagen (thatās me) for more creative business tips š„ Be blessed and stay stoked šš¤ ā¢ ā¢ ā¢ ā¢ ā¢
Are you a freelancer or a business ownerš I think a lot of times we think of scaling as something that would be nice once weāre ready, but when you switch you perspective, you actually realize that not knowing how to scale costs you thousands of dollars and hours of your time every single month. In the example I gave in the video, you would be missing out on $9,000/mo which is over $100k/yr just because you donāt know how to scale your business effectively. And thatās just by raising your prices. Imagine the difference once you attract better clients, add more value to your offer, make a scalable system, and build teams and automations. The sky is the limit! Believe it or not, the difference between a $10k client and $1k client is not all that much. The main difference is in how you present your value. Itās always easier to pitch new clients new rates then to convince an old client to pay you more. That being said, the first step of scaling always has to be firing your clients that take too much time and donāt pay enough. The problem is, we get attached to these less than ideal clients because they are essentially our lifeline for survival. The minute we lose them we feel like weāre out of business. But the very clients we feel are our life jackets are the ones that are anchoring us down and preventing us from progressing by sucking up our time and attention. Thatās a scary place to be, and a place I realized I didnāt ever want to be in again. I had to find a way out and thatās why I share what I share. If youāre ready to take your business into your own hands and finally create something scalable DM me CREATE and letās see if I can help!
