How to Handle "Send a Proposal" Requests

The script (Save for later) 👉 But first comment “SCRIPT” if you want the full sales framework. Often times clients say “send a proposal” as a default nice way of saying we don’t want to talk to you anymore. If this is the case you want to uncover the real objection. Here’s how I do it. 1️⃣ “Absolutely I’d love to show you more about what we can do. Before I send it though could you let me know what specifically you’d like to see in the proposal to be comfortable moving forward?” Now the ball is in the clients court to either tell you what they want to see or tell you the real objection. 2️⃣ “Perfect I’ll make sure to include all that. And just to double check, we talked about a budget range of $xxxx, so if I give you an option in that range that’s doable for you right?” If they don’t agree you know it’s a budget issue that you need to handle separately. 3️⃣ “Great! So because we put a lot of time into customizing our work for clients, I think it would be best to jump on a follow up call with you and any other decision makers to go over everything and be able to answer any questions.” If the client has pushback on this you know there’s another underlying objection. Otherwise they will be happy to schedule a followup. 4️⃣ “Cool so I’ll send you a calendar invite now for {date}. Could you accept that invite and then just add anyone else that needs to be there. And if we need to adjust time to people’s schedules just let me know.” On your follow up call you want to present the entire proposal over zoom or Google meet. Record the meeting so that the client can send it to anyone else that needs to see it if necessary but assuming you put together the proposal strategically, you should have no problem closing! If you want to see my full sales process, comment “SCRIPT” and I’ll send it over! Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙
