š How to ACTUALLY GET PAID to travel š Iām tired of talented creators pushing how to get free travel. Itās not sustainable, not a real job, and weakens the industry. So hereās how to actually get paidā¦ 1. Understand this is a job, not a vacation. Treat it as such. 2. Find resorts with a real need. Bad content? Massive competition? Low engagement? No video? All prime suspects. 3. Find the correct contact. Typically marketing manager, brand manager or director of sales. 4. Send an email that sparks curiosity, creates fomo, and positions you as the hero to their problem. Read their minds. Donāt talk about yourself or why your so greatā¦ no one cares. Donāt send rates or packages or media kits or proposals. Again, you donāt even know what they actually need yet. 5. Be confident. Ask for a meeting. If you have quality content that can solve a problem, you are being selfish by not insisting (politely) that they speak with you on a phone call. 6. Conduct a discovery call. Learn about their needs and position your content as the ONLY solution to get them to their goals. 7. Close the deal (or schedule a follow up if necessary). Charge real industry rates. Do you think a production company is gonna do a whole resort shoot for $1000ā¦ thatās a no! 8. Give the client a high end experience, crush their expectations, get incredible results for them, be emotionally invested in their outcome, and get a referral partner for life!
