The Hard Work of Marriage on the Road

Can I talk honestly with you all about marriage⁉️⁠ ⁠ It's HARD work!⁠ ⁠ It doesn't just take love to make a marriage work. Love alone is not what keeps you together. Appreciation, patience, understanding, flexibility, listening, and respect all play major roles.⁠ ⁠ When I agreed to Steve's crazy idea of traveling the country, my biggest fear was what it will it be like being around him (and the kids) ALL👏 THE 👏TIME👏. ⁠ ⁠ The struggle was real and hard and messy, and it put strain on our marriage. I knew talking openly about all the feelings, insecurities, and fears was the only way to get back on the same page. We've made many adjustments along the way and will continue to do so. ⁠ ⁠ After being on the road for almost a year, I can't imagine not being with Steve (and the kids) all the time. It's funny how God uses your fears and turns them around for the better. ⁠ ⁠ We have had to figure things out on the fly, change plans, back into and out of some crazy spots, and balance our time to ensure our marriage is and stays healthy. ⁠ ⁠ I'm grateful for the hard and the messy times because without it I wouldn't be the women and wife I am today. ⁠ ⁠ ❓What is your marriage advice for a young couple❓⁠ ⠀ Follow us for more RV Life ⤵️ @exploringoutsidethe303 ⠀
