The Man Who Loved Libraries: Andrew Carnegie's Story

When your kids know the name Carnegie from their CC song, you search for books to make him real. . And when your grandmother tells you that the library in Colorado vacation is a Carnegie library... and your 38 year old educated self should know what that means. . . The kids love biographies and especially for people shaped by books and who are greatly self taught. . . And this is the only decent book about Andrew Carnegie I found in the entire East Atlanta library exchange. And that is pitiful. We love pretty living books, and I know that we won’t sit around and drudge through the typical library biographies. Ug. . . I have books with book lists by country, by age, by interest... but I want a book by historical time period. Because, honestly, there are lots of good historical books that are shelves under fiction picture books... and hard to find. . . I know I’m not the only one, right? . . Still looking for books about Rockefeller... They only shaped our country. But I can find lots of Taylor Swift books... because she’s very important...
