Reclaiming Wonders
The image depicts two young boys engaged in a board game on the floor of what appears to be a living room or den area. The boy on the left is wearing a blue and white striped shirt, while the boy on the right is wearing a bright green shirt. They have an intense yet playful expression as they focus on the game spread out in front of them, which appears to be a version of the popular game Catan. The game board features a colorful map with hexagonal tiles representing different terrain types, and various game pieces scattered across it. Around them are books, toys, and other household items, creating a cozy and lived-in atmosphere. The warm wood flooring and natural lighting from a nearby window contribute to the inviting ambiance.

Brothers Playing Board Game at Home

In my effort to limit the TV in the house, I’ve started the TV mornings only Thursday thru Saturday. It’s amazing how that means they find laundry to fold and games to play in their own... . And this morning meant teaching little brother to play Catan Jr for the first time. With way for supply trading going on that this Mom tolerates ;). Speed it up! . . “Hey! What if we get new games out every two weeks...” he said. Then big brother freshened up the current game rotation on his own. . . Now if only little brother could remember to actually buy ships and castles instead of just collecting as many supplies as he can... Looong gaaaame ;)
