Peaceful Nature Hike for Birthday Girl

A bald eagle and garter snake and toads and turtles and a blue heron... and we managed to avoid the cottonmouth we had been warned about. The birthday kid requested a hike. Deal! . . Our first walk at this section of Panola Mountain was a success just because of these animals. Despite the fact that it’s too hot for early May! . . And here’s to the big kid who has brought the nature sketch pad back out! Always better if it wasn’t Mom’s idea. Reverse psychology required with this kid.
