Kayaking Adventure in Crystal River

Wild Florida was on the schedule today with a guided kayak tour at Crystal River down the Chasshowitzka to “The Crack”. Gotta see some nature and hopefully animals! (And one can only do sooo many theme parks...) . . And now I know that means “we will paddle down the main river to the smaller and smaller tributary until we get to the fresh water spring where the kids and dad can do some rope swinging.” I have to translate all these words to us non-native Floridians 🙂 . . Five kayaks, six people, and 3.5 hours of fun. We watched a few otters and egrets, but it’s too late in the season for easy manatee sightings. Don’t worry - we’re already scheming a return trip in January to snorkel with the manatees. . . So fun! Highly recommended. Our tour guide was great and the area is so lovely.
