Family Adventure: Pushing Boundaries on Vacation
What no one tells you about travel?
It changes you. Pushes you. 🚙⛰️🥾
Too many travel families are concerned about “what the kids will remember” or planning “kid-friendly vacation activities” or “car activities for the family road trip”.
❓Maybe we should spend more time focusing on growing as adults so our kids see Mom and Dad as always growing and learning and getting stronger. Especially on family vacation.
👉To be the kind of grown ups that they one day want to be themselves.
I hope my travel kids remember a mom who pushed herself to kayak and drove cross-country and, on this last trip to North Carolina, went off-roading! 👏🏻👏🏻
In @visitwestjefferson , I had another first!
(Did I mention that even driving a golf cart makes me a littler nervous? 😁 I’m not naturally adventurous, and I’d definitely never even driven an ATV or such!)
We went off-roading in a Roxor.
It’s like a…
ATV + Jeep = perfect for exploring mountain roads.
At @unseen_pass in downtown West Jefferson, we loaded up, equipped with their GPS recommended route (on the Rever app), to head into the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was a bit chilly (but at least the snow had stopped), but we didn’t want to miss the chance to have an adventure.
Thanks @unseen_pass for a day of fun exploring! We loved getting out of town to see some beautiful areas, follow the beautiful river, and even have a secluded riverbank picnic. #collab
🤗It was truly a highlight of our North Carolina trip.
👉👉What was your last adventure push on vacation? Let’s celebrate the growth 🤗
