Memory Work Binder Organization

Morning time is our best and favorite part of the day, and it doesn’t have to be complicated. It took me quite a while to figure out how to organize my memory work binder, and hopefully this can help some of you. . I simply have dividers for each subject: hymns, Shakespeare, Awana Bible verse, poems, Classical Conversations memory work, and others. At the front of each section is the new stuff we’re working on as well as some I have printed to do next. Behind that, I have the ones we already have memorized. I merely have a sticky tab on the next one we need to review, and move it forward to mark which we need to review next time. . The kids pull out their memory work binder, turn to the hymn number I have it labelled as (order we learned), and they can follow along. . It isn’t perfect, but the easier it’s laid out, the more likely you are to get it done. Don’t forget to put your top priorities at the front of the binder. Less searching leads to more doing. . Remember, even if it only gets done once a week, it’s better than not at all. Have you found a system that works for you? I’d love more ideas!
