The Case for Refillable Water Bottles in Rome
I didn’t listen to the travel advice. I still took them to Italy. 🇮🇹🍝🏛️
{Ha. Are you thinking I’m talking about leaving my kids at home? That would have been fun too. 🤣}
I’m talking about refillable water bottles!
It seems minor. But this little tip would have saved this travel mom some backpacking weight.
🌟And you look like a super cool world traveler when you can point it into your mouth like my kid.
I didn’t want them.
I wanted to ditch them.
(Ha. Still sounds like kids. 🤣)
They’re heavy and clunky and
Just another something to lose. (Kids? 🤣)
👉But clean, free water is everywhere in Rome!
Straight from the mountains and Roman aqueducts.
You’re pretty much drinking history!
(Free flowing water was in Rome more than any other European town we visited actually.)
👉Even these snazzy spouts with a drink trick.
Go watch it again if you missed it. 😉
Across from the Colosseum, there’s even a dispenser that offers free sparkling water if you’re feeling fancy.
Or don’t want your kids to want to steal your water. 😉
So don’t be like me.
Leave the water bottles at home.
And just refill your disposable plastic over and over again until you recycle it and fly home.
❓Where do you find this free Roman water?
✅If you see a crowd lined up, it’s likely they’re queued for water. Pay attention.
