Reclaiming Wonders: Prioritizing Family Adventures in Homeschooling
If you have kids, you probably need to hear this. Listen up. 🎧
❓You know those children who live in your house?
❗️They’re going to be “too old” way too soon and busier than you like.
(Yes, you have control over that business and can say “no!”)
The kids won’t remember doing math every day in their homeschool life.
(Unless it’s in a negative view)
❤️But they will remember the outings with their family.
Homeschool mom confessions
❌Over the last several years, I lost sight of the wonders as busy life took over.
The “school” became most important than the family learning and exploring. Life was full… but it wasn’t full of the right and best stuff.
👉So this homeschool year, I’ve blocked out Mondays.
✅For field trips.
✅For adventuring and hiking.
✅For time exploring with friends.
✅For getting back to the best stuff.
👏🏻👏🏻For “reclaiming wonders” if you will.
As my buddy @jessica.alimena said on our trip yesterday,
“It’s always hard to make time for these trips. But I never regret it.”
PS: Get you an adventure family buddy (or a whole slew of them! You’ll make sure the outing happens for each other and actually make the family fun happen.
❓Wondering how to make time in your week?
There’s always the weekends or after-adventuring to catch up. It’s worth it!
👉👉Homeschool perk.
Doing it whenever and wherever!
