Reclaiming Wonders
Two young children, a boy and a girl, are standing in a kitchen surrounded by various cooking ingredients and utensils. The boy, wearing a blue shirt, is focused on the pancake batter in a mixing bowl, while the girl, wearing a red shirt and glasses, is holding a fork, likely helping with the preparation. On the stovetop are several pans containing what appears to be pancakes in different stages of cooking. The countertop is cluttered with opened jars, a carton of milk, a jar of what might be syrup, and other cooking supplies. The scene suggests the children are engaging in the hands-on activity of making pancakes from scratch, perhaps as a fun and educational experience.

Kids Making Pancakes from Scratch

“We were bored” at 8 AM ;). I emerged this morning to hear them measuring out salt. This was after he told me to feel free to stay in my room as late as I wanted. Those are suspicion words! . . Sure, oh too-independent kids. Why not make yourself pancakes from scratch? And double the recipe? Math! ;)
