Houston Museum of Natural Science: Dinosaur Marvels

Favorite museum? I’m the nerd to ask. 🤓🔬🦖 Don’t just drive through the giant city of Houston. Head downtown to the Museum District - lots of wonderful places including the @houstonzoo - and check out the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences. HMNS is the BEST dinosaur exhibit we’ve ever seen. And we’ve seen lots of museums. Don’t forget the 🌍Huge Egyptian exhibit and mummies (We talk the red-haired one by name still 😃) 🦘Room of curiosities they can touch 🦍Animals from around the world 💎Gemstones and fossils and rocks 👀Huge Foucault Pendulum to watch ⛽️Energy hall about oil and more 📜Decipher the Rosetta Stone 👩‍🔬Chemistry for kids downstairs… Oh yeah! Don’t forget the butterflies and planetarium!🦋💫🔭 @HMNS was our first museum membership. The one we frequented and learned all the secrets of where the dinosaur still has skin and where you can touch kangaroo fur and where you can stand in the exhibit box and when the trains come out at Christmas… It’s full of memories of friends and field trips and the joy of new things. I’m a little biased. But it’s still awesome. This Houston museum was truly the first place I saw learning and wonder come not through books and classes… but by seeing the real learning happen. {{Man, didn’t know i could get tearing talking about dino fossils. 😢 And I thought it was just gonna be about a museum. }} Homeschool mom moment. Travel mom recommendation. Tell me your favorite-est. Maybe we can have a sappy mom moment together. ❤️ . . And thanks to Aunt @tracybaggett for going with us all those years ago. . .
