Reclaiming Wonders

Holocaust Survivor's Testimony at Bremen Museum

History is vanishing. The survivors are leaving us… Seize the opportunities! 🌍 That white dress? It was a World War 2 dress made from fabric she smuggled out of the relocation camp… her wedding dress when she married the man who rescued her after Holocaust. How much more real can you get?🥰 At the Bremen Holocaust Museum in Atlanta, the kids and I were blessed to be able to hear a first hand account of the impact of the Holocaust. As a child of two Holocaust survivors, our speaker told us his family’s story… ❤️How his mom was traumatized the rest of her life after escaping to America. ❤️How his mild-mannered dad refused to speak of World War 2… until he told of his role in the Resistance at the end of his life. ❤️How our speaker has turned his family’s trauma into helping PTSD sufferers today. I’ve now been to the museums in St. Petersburg, FL and Houston. Each one different. Each time I leave with a new appreciation for life. Each time adds something new. This was my first time hearing a real-life account. Thank you, Mr. Lederman, for your willingness to make history real to our ragtag group of homeschool students. We will forever remember their legacy. @thebremanmuseum #thebreman Put up the books. Take your kids (and mom and dad) to learn real life with real lessons. 🤓 👉Best real life history place to experience?
