A breathtakingly ornate and magnificent interior of an ancient church or cathedral. The vaulted ceilings are adorned with intricately carved reliefs and moldings in an ornamental baroque style, exquisitely detailed and crafted with meticulous artistry. Chandeliers with numerous glowing candles hang from the soaring arched ceilings, casting a warm and radiant glow throughout the grand space. Towards the far end, a large pipe organ stands majestically, its ranks of pipes rising high, complemented by a wooden choir loft. Free lunchtime concert in #trafalgarsquare at #stmartininthefields with a full church ready to listen to some Brahms ... aka German opera that the kids don’t understand. We listened to a quartet accompanied by a piano duet for an hour and did good for the most part. All the kids had a little side busy-ness while listening... but listen we did. Way to show those doubting sixty year olds around us and be the only kids... again! The church building is almost three hundred years old and the acoustics were great!
