How to raise brave girls? Be a brave mom. . . Take her to Girl Scouts. Meet some new faces. Introduce yourself to new moms. Even though it isn’t your favorite thing. . And sit back and listen to the giggles as they run through the dark forest without fear and be their true selves without the world creeping in. . And, if nothing else, show a troop of girls that their moms can put up tents without dads and that they love them enough to forfeit sleep just so they can have some special childhood time. Because it’s worth it. . . Here’s to mom friends who told me to do it and those beautiful Georgia trees….
