Reclaiming Wonders
The image depicts a lively outdoor scene with a group of smiling adults and children gathered around a vehicle, likely a minivan or SUV. The adults, consisting of several women, appear to be mothers accompanying their children on an outing or excursion. The women are dressed casually in summer attire, with one woman wearing a sun hat and another wearing sunglasses. The children, ranging in age from toddlers to pre-teens, are also dressed in colorful, casual clothing suitable for outdoor play. They display a mix of expressions, with some smiling and others appearing more pensive or distracted. The group is standing on a paved surface, with a grassy area and trees visible in the background, suggesting a park or recreational setting. The overall scene conveys a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment among the mothers and their children, capturing a moment of shared experience and connection.

Mom Friends and Social Connection

I’ve said it so many times but saying it again. Moms need mom friends. Grown ups need their people too! You need to make it a priority in your schedule. . . Because when you get to see friends, even when scanning the pool after your kids for hours while doing so, you feel refreshed and realize you needed it. . . Trust me. I get it. My introvert self would love to stay home and veg —- but you never regret going. The hardest part is getting out the door. . . So here’s to my selfie skills where you get to see my eyeball 🤣 The kids got sunburned despite multiple sunscreen applications, but they got to see old friends and re-meet old friends. And it was a good day! Thanks @kim.pyle for hanging and the grown up talk. . . After all, how can we stress to our kids how to be a good friend and learn social skills if they never see us make it a priority ourselves...😏
