Free Attractions in St. Louis
St. Louis - My favorite city for a trip full of free places!
️⃣Gateway Arch National Park - Don’t just see the arch, head downstairs to the fabulous free museum. Yes, there are paid add-ons, but the main part is free. It’s a beautiful museum.
️⃣Old Courthouse and Dred Scott Memorial - Walk over from the Arch. It’s beautiful and a great little history stop.
️⃣Citygarden - Grab a map and follow all the free outdoor art and sculptures. There are even fountains and playgrounds along the route.
️⃣St. Louis Central Library - Beautiful building with exhibits inside. And free air conditioning for a rest. :)
️⃣St. Louis Zoo and Forest Park - This huge St. Louis park is full of free museums and the amazing zoo. Plan a day to head over here and enjoy nature.
️⃣Union Station Hotel - There are no trains here anymore (I found out by embarrassing myself ;) ) but there is a beautiful hotel with a fun light show daily.
️⃣Wander Little Italy - Don’t settle for boring food. Drive over to Little Italy for some authentic Italian restaurants and fun fire hydrants painted like Italian flags. Don’t forget to grab desert at a bakery.
️⃣City Museum - Not free. Just awesome. And worth the price. It’s the indoor-outdoor artsy play museum of your childhood that you didn’t know could exist. Awesome.
