Redefining a Successful School Year
What if… We defined a “successful” school year differently this time?🙋♀️⏰
❓What if you didn’t fill the kids’ schedule with all the after school stuff?
❓What if Saturday mornings weren’t spent at the soccer field but resting or exploring?
❓What if you prioritized the church Bible study instead of that extra practice?
❓What if you didn’t stress the A+ but taught them to take breaks and have self care?
❓What if we focused on the truly beautiful and important?
❓What if Mom and Dad didn’t wear busy as a badge of honor?
❓What if instead of rushing through the book list, we picked a good one and savored it together?
❓What if instead of buying the newest and fanciest curriculum, we used what we already have?
Every family is different.
I get that.
👉But here’s your reminder that some of those things just don’t matter…
This mom has been thinking a lot lately that she only has three more years with this oldest kid.
Perspective sure changes how you want to spent those remaining years.
As for me and my house…
Here’s to prioritizing time with friends and family and time in nature and time with God.
And not necessarily in that order. ❤️
