Family Visit to Kennedy Space Center

I’m glad I changed my mind. I almost talked myself out of visiting Kennedy Space Center. The hours are short (10-4) and a few things aren’t open due to Covid and it’s expensive! But I’m glad I kept with it and drove east from Orlando for the kids to further increase their love of all things space. . . And the homeschool ticket discount saved me $80+ so that was a helpful deciding factor ;) . . It still is too short a day. We didn’t get to see everything, and I fell prey to rushing the kids who wanted to dawdle which frustrated everyone. One can’t spend an hour doing a flight simulator game when you need to actually go see the shuttle in person. . . I had no idea what to expect as far as exhibits, and there were so many good things to explore from the Apollo rocket and launch to moon exploration to the shuttle to climbing through space station tubes... We really could have spent another day. . . Yes, I see the irony of visiting NASA when we have real life friends who daily talk to scientists on ISS and design rockets or work somewhere at NASA - I honestly don’t even know in what department! Joy of living in Houston. We need to really ask them more questions so get ready. 😃 . . And these long days have left me behind on posting... So friends following along. It’ll happen eventually 😂
