Reclaiming Wonders
The image is a collage of four photographs taken at a fine arts museum. The first photograph shows a family of four consisting of two adults and two children, one young girl and one infant, posing in front of a large glass window displaying lush greenery and vegetation. The second photograph captures a stone sculpture or architectural element depicting nude figures in relief. The third photograph shows one of the adults, seemingly a father, sitting on a bench or couch with the young girl, both leaning in close and examining something off-camera. The fourth photograph displays a framed painting of a woman dressed in red robes, possibly the Virgin Mary, surrounded by cherubic figures, characteristic of religious artwork from the Renaissance period.

Family Day at the Fine Arts Museum

Another first for us. Free first Saturday of the month entrance to the Fine arts museum with Bank of America! Note: start with the impressionists. Otherwise, your kids get hungry right about when you find your "people" and you barely glance at Renoir, Cassatt, VanGogh and Monet! Ug. Another trip with only big kids. The ancient stuff was cool though, and I enjoyed looking at stuff from time periods the kids had been studying. Meg was very excited about the photo of MLK jr :). And we thought we recognized A Fra Angelico painting with the halo... Alas it wasn't but made us proud of our learning! Mom, that would be a Tiffany stained glass (I didn't know he was an actual person!)... Kids insisted on posing. We have pictures also of lots of other stuff if anyone's interested.. Kids wanted to commemorate. :)
