Exploring the Surreal Raccoon Mountain Caverns
Caves are always so surreal. Like an alien planet. Creepy. Fascinating. Always awesome. @raccoonmountaincaverns was worth it with our own tour and the ability to ask as many questions as we wanted. .
.
She showed us where the salamanders hang out, and even where a momma slimy salamander was guarding her babies. Ten tiny little babies hanging out in the back of the little hole. .
.
And what did C excitedly talk about to Dad at home? How thick the water was frozen outside the cave in the rock panning troughs. Really?!
.
.
And Iām stating for the record, I will not be doing the wild cave tour the kids are excited about going back for. Daddies wear hats with lights and crawl on their bellies through dark tight caves. Not. Me.
