Exploring St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh
#stgilescathedral in #edinburgh made me think a lot about walking through Notre Dame. On a smaller scale.
So many of the old some buildings around here and Glasgow have the darkening of what I assume is pollution which makes it all look dirty. But then you walk inside and see beauty. I do love me some arches. Especially the flying buttresses of Notre Dame, but I digress. Again.
The kids complained less. We talked about who Robert Louis Stevenson is in the Writer’s corner. Again about John Knox and the Reformation... and Henry VIII and Catholicism And and... This is Knox’s church... Beautiful but too many people here!
There was a Vivaldi concert in the church tonight. Why did I not bring a babysitter for this very reason? And I was too cheap to splurge... Sigh...
