Embracing the Childhood Mess

In the mess. Or he was more than six years ago. Sigh… . . The mess was brought on by today’s prompt for the Learn at Home Challenge… All I can think is that today’s messes look a lot different than they did back then. And yet, I find a way to complain about every stage of mess. . Mommas of young kids and the rest of us —- me included — Let that baby climb on that table. Let those girls paint. Send that kid out with the vinegar and baking soda he’s been asking for. . . Dare I say, get in that mud? Track your wet clothes in the car because that ocean was calling despite your admonitions to stay out. . . Because six years from now, they won’t even want to do such things. And you won’t need as many glue sticks. . Here’s to not wishing away our kids’ years for the next stage and quieting the mess concerns. You know the extra perk of them getting older? Its easier to make them clean it up 😍 .
