Reclaiming Wonders
A serene nature scene featuring a dirt path winding through a lush green forest. Towering pine trees surround the path, their branches stretching overhead and filtering in dappled sunlight. Large boulders dot the landscape, providing natural obstacles and hiding spots for children to play. Several children of varying ages can be seen exploring and interacting with the environment, some climbing on the rocks while others traverse the path. The scene exudes a sense of youthful wonder and appreciation for the great outdoors.

Embracing Childhood Wonder in Nature

Here’s to almost-adult sized kids who still want to play at the playground and run and hide behind rocks and think nothing of it. . . To moms of youngers, I remember being you and wishing the big kids would go away. Granted, I realize that they need to be careful around your littles... But at the same time, I am in no rush to push them ever further out of childhood. When you see big kids, make sure they don’t plow over your kids, but hope your kids are able to do the same in years to come. . . And pay attention. That’s a 12 year old playing with a six year old. Here’s to homeschool families who interact as a whole group and without age grouping. We love knowing all members of families. It’s a lovely thing. Thank you @evajbone for sharing your kids with us ;)
