Appreciating Illustrator Jim LaMarche's Whimsical Children's Books

Artist study + books = illustrator study. It seems like it’s what I can handle. No matter how many famous artist prints I hang up, we don’t remember to look at them. . . But these. Beautiful and read on repeat. And we have really become picture book snobs. Don’t give us a book with “bad” illustrations. . . His drawings plus the nature loving stories make Jim LaMarche one of our new favorite artists. I’m thinking maybe Raft will be a new purchase ;)
