Don't Buy Kids' Books Impulsively
Don’t touch it. Put the down the book!📗💰✋
When I was a new homeschool mom, I bought so much on clearance or at garage sales. I wish a wiser mom had told me to save my money, and I need someone to get those bad purchases off my kid bookshelves still!
👉👉It’s okay to not buy the kid books.
👉👉Be a homeschool mom rebel with me.
📕Don’t buy a book on sale for “just in case”.
📗Even if “everyone” online loves a book, that doesn’t mean it’s the best for your family.
📘Wait until you actually need a certain book. Then you’ll actually use it.
📙Don’t buy it right then. Leave it in the Amazon cart for a week. You’ll change your mind.
📕Borrow it from the library or friends instead. You can always buy it when you know you like it.
📗Consider audiobooks. I’m now paying for ebooks when I have a paper version because the kid who needs them prefers audio. It still counts!
Day 6 #hereisourhomeschool wants to see my bookshelves. I don’t even want to see that mess! 🤣@intentionalhomeschooling
If you don’t buy the books…
1️⃣Less to get rid of later
2️⃣Less cluttering shelves
3️⃣Less guilt when you never use them
4️⃣Less lost money!
I still prefer my kids to use paper, but audiobooks totally count for kids too! And for quick mom reads, digital works perfectly. (@Scribd for the win!)

😉😉PS: Scribd might just have 10+ Colleen Hoover books in print and audio both. Read all the trash (like I did) and have a fun two months. I didn’t tell you to do that. 😉😁🙈
