Reclaiming Wonders
Three young children are seated on a wooden bench, overlooking a vast open field and wooded area in the distance. The scene appears to be set in a rural or countryside location with a clear blue sky and scattered clouds. The children, two boys and a girl, are dressed casually in t-shirts and pants, typical attire for a day outdoors. Their backs are turned towards the camera, allowing them to gaze out at the scenic view before them. The image conveys a sense of tranquility and wonder, as the children take in the beauty of the natural surroundings that stretch out before their eyes.

Children Overlooking Rural Scenery

Looking out over this 1000 year old complex from the highest mound. It said in the 1300s it was the largest colicky north of Mexico. Tons of pottery recovered and information pieces together. We continue to be amazed that we have never heard of these people. Too much time teaching Aztecs etc. when we should be teaching first the amazing people that live within driving distance! I although there is no archeological connection between them and the mesoamerican civilizations, it sure seems very similar when you read about them and hike up giant mounds to where their temples once stood instead of joking the rocky steps of their counterparts.
