Archeology Tour at Jamestown
Indiana Jones came to life today at Jamestown... not really. They made sure to tell us it’s different than in the movies. But archeology did. Super cool.

Any suggestions of other places we can see archeologists? Or good books? I feel like there just aren’t many places.

We took an archeology tour with an archeologist on site. Learned about the history of Jamestown as well as it’s other roles. Granted the kids mostly loved learning about the graves and cannibalism, of course. And we got to see the archeologists digging in action and ask a gabillion questions and see the pottery she had just pulled out of the ground. More awesome adults sharing with my kids. My favorite.

And even though the National Park visitor center museum isn’t open, the archeology museum is so even better.

So the visitor center guy said we would be here maybe two hours... or four. It’s the way we roll. A slow roll. And no I wouldn’t buy K the full book about Jane, the cannibalism victim. Meanie Mom. ;)

History trip day 7? 8? Losing track.
