The Joy of Moving to a New Place
Do you like moving? Is it hard to find new routines and meeting new people?
(Save this post as a reminder to look past the scary.)
Yesterday while having lunch with a friend she asked me these questions and basically wanted to know if it’s scary to move and if it takes a long time to find things that make the move comfy.
I want to share my answer with you all because the happiness I felt when thinking of moving to a new place and how I described it surprised me.
I answered her questions quickly by saying “I love it!” And I explained that love with “it excites me so much because it means I’m closer to people I have yet to meet that I know will change my life and that I’ll get to love so much. I maybe won’t get to love them so closely forever but that love will change me. I get to find new and different routines that I’ll tell people about later in life to tell them how other people live. I get to experience how other people live and hopefully provide perspective to other people to help the world recognize people are people and love is love. And as an added bonus there is a whole new part of the world you’ll have access to so you can explore more.”
I could probably list 100 more reasons based around these ideas why I LOVE moving. Honestly, I wish I could move to a different place every 3-6 months.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s scary but sometimes looking through the scary to find all the good things basically eliminates anything you could be afraid of.
Have you every made a big move? What did you like about it? If not, is it something you want to do?
