Embracing the Unplanned
You don’t HAVE to set goals and resolutions for the new year.
(Save this post for the next time you’re feeling the pressure of the world)
No really, you don’t. I’ve been feeling the pressure to have my entire 2022 planned out and quite frankly I have two weeks of January planned. That’s it. And I made my decision and on those two weeks like two days ago. AND I just bought the plane ticket. Nothing else.
The rest of 2022 is still up in the air.
Do I have things I want to accomplish? Yes! Buuuuuut the pressure I feel to write them down is feeling like a little to much to do for me right now.
Am I going to do it? Yes! But when I’m ready which might be tomorrow or January or July.
I have never been someone to do this which might be why I’m hesitant but I did it last year and although I didn’t follow through with implementing all the new habits I said I would or accomplish all the goals I set, I still hit quite a few of them. And I really think I did because I wrote it down.
I think there is power in writing things down and saying them out loud but I also think everyone finds that power in different ways and at different times.
Sooooo if you’re stressin’ about not having your life planned, let it go! And find ways to do the things you love in your own way!
How do you feel about New Years resolutions?
