My Solo Adventure in Iceland

This trip changed my life forever 🇮🇸 This was the first time I had ever left home to explore another country all on my own. I was coming off of a wild ten days in England where my best friend got married and honestly didn’t plan a single thing except for booking the rental car and a ticket for the Blue Lagoon. I planned the entire trip in the parking lot of the Blue Lagoon a few hours after I landed in Iceland. To say that was a bad idea is an understatement. I wanted to go on this trip because I was so sick of waiting for someone else to join me. I was told a million different reasons why I shouldn’t go by sooooo many people which only made me want to do it more. I also wanted to prove to myself that I could create around my travels without help because the person closest to me didn’t think I could. Every chaotic moment, everything planned and unplanned, every photo taken, every smile and tear were all made and enjoyed by me alone on this trip and it helped me learn that putting myself and my dreams first isn’t selfish, it’s empowering. And the more you follow what works for you, the more people you find that will cheer you on and even send it on adventures with you. What countries have you traveled to solo?
