The image depicts a breathtaking geological formation of basalt columns rising vertically from the ground, creating a striking and dramatic landscape. The columns are hexagonal in shape, tightly packed together, and extend upwards in a towering fashion, resembling a giant's causeway or a massive organ pipe. The basalt columns vary in height, with some reaching impressive elevations, while others are shorter but still imposing. The texture of the columns is rough and rugged, with visible cracks and crevices adding to their ancient and weathered appearance. In the background, a grassy slope ascends, dotted with patches of vegetation, leading up to a rocky ridge illuminated by the warm glow of the setting sun. Nestled among the colossal basalt columns is a solitary figure dressed in a striking red jacket, providing a sense of scale and emphasizing the immense size of the geological formation. The contrasting colors of the red jacket against the monochrome palette of the basalt columns create a visually captivating and dramatic scene.

Iceland Travel Tips: Planning Your Adventure

3 things to know before visiting Iceland 🗺️ It may look like a small island on a map but I promise you, it’s a big country. If you wanna drive the ring road and hit as many iconic spots as possible, give yourself at least 8 days there. ⛺️Camping is the cheapest way to see the most when visiting this epic country but it’s still super expensive, especially the gas. You can’t just pull over and sleep on the side of the road either so plan where you’ll sleep. 🚙 Iceland has strict laws on where you can drive what kind of vehicle so don’t try and get a cheaper two wheel drive rental and take it on the clearly marked four wheel drive roads. Side note: these are some of my favorite images I’ve ever taken and I took them entirely on my own on this solo adventure. Super stoked to be sharing them with y’all again ✨ Is Iceland on your bucket list?
