Value-Based Pricing for Content Creators
Charging on value > charging on time
When you charge for your time you are essentially saying the value you have to give the client is in the time you spend on the project. Once you have finished the time requirement your value is complete.
Not only is this not accurate, but you’re also cheating yourself out of the real value you offer.
See, showing up and doing the shoot is a given. Yea there’s value in it but the real value to the client is actually in what happens after you complete your work on the job (aka the results the content brings).
By pricing just on time you are essentially commoditizing yourself against every other content creator that charges hourly or day rates. It shows you don’t have a great understanding of the value you actually bring to a brand.
The example I shared in the video above is the tip of the iceberg. You can charge a whole lot more than 5k for an ad of that caliber provided you can position yourself correctly.
I just posted a video on my YT breaking down the 3 steps to charge more as a content creator (🔗 in bio). If you’ve been struggling in that department this video is for you!
You’re gonna wanna save this one!
