Living Life Where You End Up

@abby_hawaii and I went to this really cool restaurant in Nashville called @listeningroomcafe last night. It’s basically a song writers round table where some of the top country writers perform and give the back story behind some of the top hits in country music. Really cool experience! Out of all the songs played, there were quite a few that hit me but I think this line by Jason Sever hit the most. -

I think a lot of us (myself included) live life with high aspirations. We live in a sort of idealized world because we are told that’s what success looks like. The problem is, that is extremely hard to attain and it’s not without sacrifice. Sometimes that lifestyle you dream of isn’t actually something that you’d want. Either way a lot of us have to settle for something else in the meantime. -
I’ve bounced around quite a bit in my short life. I’ve had a lot of jobs and a lot of dreams and this is where I’ve ended up so far. Just like everyone, I lost quite a bit of opportunities because of corona, but it is what it is. I’m not where I want to be or even where I know I can be, but it’s where I am and I’m extremely grateful for it. -
I think understanding that life goes on where you end up is such a powerful concept. It doesn’t mean you stop dreaming or even stop pursuing, but it does mean that you are where you are now for a specific reason and you have to live life there. -
For me sometimes this is the hardest thing. It’s difficult for me to be in the moment sometimes cause I’m always thinking ahead but I want this to serve as a reminder to myself right now to live life to the fullest where I am right now. -
Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 -
