A breathtaking sunset unfolds over a serene, reflective body of water. Vibrant hues of orange and red paint the sky, casting a warm glow over the scene. Billowing clouds, tinged with fiery colors, dance across the expansive horizon. In the foreground, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the shimmering water, creating a striking contrast and adding a sense of scale to the vast landscape. The figure's presence adds a contemplative and introspective element to the image, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the natural beauty unfolding before them.

The Importance of Self-Control Over Self-Esteem

The self esteem movement has directly contributed to the most miserable, directionless, and least wise generation in history. - I’m sure you’ve heard some of these phrases before: “be yourself” “follow your heart” “if it feels good do it” and the list goes on. Although these sound nice, nothing could be further from the truth. How you feel about something doesn’t determine it’s morality. In fact our heart is corrupt and selfish by nature and needs to be tamed, but the “self esteem” mentality justifies the corruption and leaves people in a directionless rut later down the road. - Instead of pushing self esteem we should teach self control. The more you resist things that may be instantaneously pleasurable but have long term negative effects, the better off you’ll be. The goal should never be to justify bad habits because you are being yourself, rather it should be to learn self control so you can avoid the pain of consequence in the future. - Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 - • • • • •
