Invest into learning camera skills, you have a hobby. Invest into storytelling skills, you have a mission. Invest into business skills, you have a career. I wish I understood this earlier than I did. You could have the best creative skills in the world but without the business skills, you will most likely be stuck doing it as a hobby (or a glorified hobby that gets paid a little). I don’t know about you but I got into this industry cause I actually love it and I didn’t want to do anything else with my life. I’ve been shooting since I was 8 years old and the thought of having to give it up (or do it on the side) because I couldn’t make a living at my passion absolutely terrified me. There was no way I was gonna let that happen! I was willing to do whatever it took to figure it out. I never went to business school, but I knew there were skills I needed to learn if I wanted to actually do my passion for a real job. I invested in mentors, workshops, classes and learned a whole lot by just failing (my first 100 reachout messages got no response lol) I learned skills like branding, messaging, copywriting, sales, team leadership. That’s the “boring stuff” that no one wants to talk about cause it’s not interesting, but it’s what makes the difference between a hobbyist and a professional. I knew I had to learn the boring stuff so I could make the fun stuff my job. And not just temporarily, but for the long haul. What’s the point of taking a gap year to pursue your passion if you’re just gonna go back to the same life after? I saw the writing on the wall of what would happen if I didn’t learn the skills. 40-50 years of boring, long hours, so that I could maybe get a few weeks off to do what I wanted to. I don’t know about you but that sounds horrible. Change your choices change your life. If you’re ready to go all in on making content creation your full time career, DM me CREATE and I’ll show you how! Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 #travelcreator #getpaidtotravel #travelphotographer #contentcreator #creatorbusiness #contentpreneur
