Blooming Desert Wonders in Utah and Arizona

I’ve been “wintering” in Arizona and Utah since 12/29 of last year and I can’t get enough of all the beauty the wet winter has gifted this spring. I came down from Seattle expecting sun and left much of my rain and snow gear behind. Turned out to need almost all of it down here but it was SO WORTH IT. The desert is fully in bloom right now with wildflowers, waterfalls and rising lakes. I can’t believe my eyes most days. Especially at sunset and sunrise. This stay, I got to cross off so many of my bucket list items I’ve been trying for over a decade for including the wave and havasupai. The wave had snow when I went and havasupai was FLOODED and the waterfall was chocolate brown. It only made the experiences more memorable and unique. gunlock falls was RAGING, I experienced Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon with more snow than I thought possible and explored so many new places and deepened my relationship with ones I’d previously experienced. I’m leaving Arizona to spend the rest of my time south in the home of my alma Mater (SUU @suualumni) and couldn’t be more excited to explore more deeply in my 2nd home Follow @kymwylder to check out the journey and views ahead for some out of this world scenery and adventure travel inspiration
