But we still have a lot of work to do as a nation, because clearly there is a giant disconnect in our country. •• To those who don’t understand how crucial this election was for some people in the USA or the happiness they feel today: please understand that for the last four years, some people in the US have never ceased to feel under threat from this administration. •• And in one of the biggest LGBQT+ communities in the US, in one of the most immigrant-welcoming cities in the US, in the most diverse state in the country, the relief is palpable. •• And a big congratulations to the 46th President of the United States, and all those who worked, campaigned, and voted! . . . . .
