Visiting Nauyaca Waterfalls in Costa Rica

Welcome to the most beautiful waterfall in Costa Rica 📍Nauyaca Waterfalls ✨ This paradise should absolutely be on your Costa Rica bucket list and here is everything you need to know to make the most of your visit (Save this post 🫶!) 🌿 GETTING THERE There are two main entrances to Nauyaca Waterfalls, the original entrance and a new entrance called Nauyaca Waterfall Nature Park.
We personally took the new entrance and from there you have two options: Hike down and take a truck ride back up or pay an extra $10 and get a ride down as well. I would recommend the second option because the hike is quite long, the road is rocky and steep and it honestly doesn’t look too safe. We actually got lost, but that is a story for another day haha! Note: The truck does not drop you off directly at the waterfall. From the drop off point where there are restrooms and WiFi, it’s still about a 15 minute hike through the jungle to get to the waterfall, but it’s doable even with kids! The original entrance apparently offers a few options too - an hour long hike, a 10 seated open truck and horse riding! Worth looking into. 🌿 ENTRANCE FEES & OPENING HOURS The park is open daily from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and the last entry is at 2 PM. If you choose to hike down and take the 4x4 ride back up, it’s $28. Alternatively, if you take the transportation both ways it’s $38. 🌿 TIPS FOR MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR VISIT • Nauyaca Waterfalls are close to Uvita (about 45 minutes) or Manuel Antonio (about 1 hour) • Get there first thing when they open or go later in the afternoon to avoid the crowds • Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel - you can swim here 🥰 • Bring your reusable water bottle and some snacks because there is nowhere to buy food/drinks in the area (of course travel responsibly and keep any trash with you) What do you think? Would you like to visit Nauyaca Waterfalls? ☺️ ———
