10 Years of Traveling the World: Lessons Learned
10 years ago, I got a passport and started traveling the world. Here is what I learned:
Traveling is so much more than the highlights you see here. It’s the people you meet - the airbnb host that welcomes you with a typical cake and a map of her city, overjoyed to share the best spots to visit, the locals who speak to you in their language as if you understand them and ultimately you end up communicating through laughs and gestures. It’s the people you meet and instantly feel like you’ve always known❤️🔥.
Travel is the ups and downs, it’s the plans that fall through that somehow lead you to people or places you might have never known existed. It’s the confusion, and the difficulty that make it that much more rewarding and worth it.
It’s the unexpected moments that stop you in your tracks and make you want to pinch yourself - wondering, how did I get here?
Travel isn’t perfect. It’s difficult - but it’s also beautiful and it will change your life, for the better. Moving forward, I vow to share all sides of travel, after all thats what makes it so special. And if you’d like to travel more, stick around because I will continue to share tips and recommendations for you ✨
Now tell me, what is travel to you? How has travel changed your life??
