How to Collaborate with Hotels for Free Stays

How we stayed in Costa Rica for free! (save + share ❤️) Were you surprised by how much I spent on accommodation in Costa Rica ($360) for 2.5 weeks? Here is how I saved money collaborating with hotels, and how you can too! ✔️ PORTFOLIO. Build a strong portfolio (no I am not talking a big number of followers). Think of your feed as your portfolio, everything you share reflects who you are and what you are capable of. What is your niche and who is your content for? Do this first! ✔️ PITCH. Prepare your pitch. Be sure to share exactly what you can provide the hotel, what value you can bring and how it can benefit them. ✔️ YOU MIGHT WANT TO DO THIS. If steps 1 + 2 aren’t working, try this: If you don’t have portfolio (aside from your feed) with examples of your work, consider taking high quality photos and videos at the next place you stay, even if you pay for it. If it’s a place similar to the kind of hotel you’d love to collaborate with, take this initial step to build your portfolio and show future hotels what you can do! 🥰 For example, I once stayed at a hotel in NYC for a ‘discounted media rate.’ After pitching (with essentially no portfolio) they offered me that. I still paid for the room, but treated it as a collaboration for my portfolio 👏 ✔️ ROI. Lastly, in addition to sending the deliverables agreed upon, prepare an ROI sheet to share how your content performed and a summary of your experience thanking them for the collaboration. Think about how nice it would be to stay on good terms in case you want to work with them again or to get a testimonial from them to help you land future collaborations. You can share some of the comments from your audience as well to share their positive response! 👉 Is this kind of content helpful for you?
