Exploring the Ephemeral Sandbank in Zanzibar

Aren’t sandbanks amazing? 🏝️ Something about the one here in Jambiani, Zanzibar that you can pretty much visit any day of the week with careful timing is pure bliss ✨ Shortly after the tide comes in, it’s gone, but maybe its ephemerality is what makes it all that more magical. What do you think?? Follow the steps below to experience this place for yourself (save to your Tanzania bucket list folder)👇 1. Check the tide. You’ll want to see what time the tide is the lowest and make your way to the area about an hour and a half later 2. Head to Coral Rocks in Jambiani, you can access the sandbank directly in front of that hotel on the beach 3. The tide will appear really low from the shore, but walk out as far as you can and eventually you’ll see the water starting to come in 4. ENJOY! And remember the water moves in pretty fast so be careful with any delicate belongings/electronics if you bring them! Have you ever been to a sandbank? If yes, where?! (not me suddenly obsessed with sandbanks 🙈) 🎥 @djiglobal #mini3pro _____
