A breathtaking aerial view of a pristine beach on the south side of an island, captured during the COVID-19 lockdown in Hawaii. The crystal-clear turquoise waters of the ocean stretch out as far as the eye can see, with crashing waves creating a mesmerizing pattern of white foam against the vibrant blue hues. The golden sandy beach lies empty and untouched, contrasting beautifully with the lush green palm trees dotting the shoreline. A lone lifeguard station stands as a solitary structure amidst the natural paradise, a reminder of the usually bustling beach life that has been temporarily stilled by the pandemic.

It’s been 7 months! Since this photo was taken. We flew the drone from our house during the lockdown and saw empty beaches on the south side for miles! On October 15th (7 months later), Hawai‘i's pre-travel testing program started. We are re-sharing this info from @oneoahu: The program requires passengers age 5 and older to take a Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) from a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified laboratory within 72 hours from the final leg of departure and produce a negative result in order to avoid the state’s 14-day mandatory quarantine. Only test results from trusted testing partners approved by the Hawaiʻi Department of Health will be accepted. Trusted testing partners are: ➡️ AFC Urgent Care ➡️ Carbon Health ➡️ CityHealth Urgent Care ➡️ Color ➡️ CVS Health ➡️ Discovery Health MD ➡️ Hawaiian Airlines ➡️ Kaiser Permanente ➡️ Quest Diagnostics ➡️ Southwest Airlines ➡️ United Airlines ➡️ Vault Health ➡️ Walgreens While Hawaii is open for visitors - the island is still going through stages of reopening local businesses. If you are planning to visit, please show respect by following the guidelines. 🤙🏾
